hey.

not a lot is going on here, but i'll post some pictures so that should be cool. i'm on day 20 of not shaving now. it's pretty sweet. here's a picture of what i look like.

also, it was my birtday on friday! i got some awesome gifts from family in the mail. my sister jenny sent me campitelli cookies. those are my favorite, after my mom's cookies of course. i used to get campitelli cookies every morning in the summer with my neighbor, forest anthony. when we were really young, we'd ride bikes there, like our little red schwinn with the banana seat and the huge yellow bike from jc penny's that our million year old neightbor, Dez, gave to us.

when we got a little older, we'd ride our skateboards there. we'd always ride behind "the good guys" store by the loading dock and it was always a rush to go down the hill there and try to dodge all the pebbles and stuff that would make you come to a dead stop on your board and make you fly off. so eating those cookies tasted good, and also brought back a lot of good memories. i remember jenny went with me once on her longboard and she ran over a garden hose and flew off her board! haha. good times.

i also got some sweet bowling shoes! mom and jody sent these to me.

they are way awesome huh? i'm going to go use them in like 15 minutes.

on my birthday my good friend matt keller bought me some korean food and then we went to someone's house and played a card game called pounce. i had a birthday cake and everything. i even spelled my name on the cake using tons of tootsie rolls. it was so delicious. we finished off the night by watching my big fat greek wedding with the group.

friday was not only my birthday, but it was graduation from training at my work. tuesday i start as a real employee out of training. crud. it should be fun. i need to learn how to speak korean better.

i'm going to go bowling, maybe i'll add more stuff to this post later.

bye

hey everyone, here's a little bit of what's been going on.

the bowling league started on wednesday! we were short one person on our team, so it was just three of us against a full team of four. we won the first game, lost the second, and totally dominated the last game and won by 111 points! and afterwards we ate lots of delicious ice cream. everyone on our team did really well and i'm looking foward to wednesdays now so we can bowl and have fun and win. not to mention bowling regularly will give me the chance to beat my sister jenny's high score of 199. i kind of don't think i'll be able to beat it, but maybe i'll get lucky. oh yeah, our bowling team name is Muchos Puntos (some people think it's a swear, but i think it means 'a lot of points'. either way it's awesome). and we all are going to have mexican names for our individual bowling names. right away jamie announced that her name will be queso (cheese). it was like she had that one stored away waiting for a time when a mexican name was needed. she decided that fast. and matt is jesus (pronounced hey-zeus). i'm guessing it means jesus... i'm not sure. i don't speak mexican. i'm still trying to think of a good name. i kind of want a name with that hard "h" sound, like i'm spitting up a lugie.

also, i'm not the only person at my apartment anymore. my cousin chris is here until the 28th so he's sleeping in the other bed in my room. he's been having fun going to ward activities and putting new pipes on his harley to make it even louder. it's pretty sweet, and i think i want a motorcycle now, but i probably won't get one so don't worry mom. it would be nice to have a vespa though since gas is so expensive! and my roommate darren in back from california. when he was there he had his wisdom teeth removed and found out he has two tumors on his right knee. we all think it's pretty cool. but tonight we ate pizza and watched the movie "CONGO" with the killer gorillas that protect diamonds. the movie wasn't as good as i remember. that seems to happen everytime i watch a movie i haven't seen in over ten years.

yesterday i got a call back from the company where i applied. the company is called nu skin. it's a pretty good paying job and i'd get to speak with the korean clients on the phone. so i start my training on monday. i've got a pretty sweet shift too, its from noon to 6pm. so i can still sleep in and party all night! and i found out that if i'm stressed or tense i can get a massage at the company. it's a pretty awesome deal!

that's all.
